Not like I was a big time blogger before or anything (not promising I will be now) but I figured it was time for an update... Kids, Life, Love and so on...
To sum up my life from 2009 to now...
New beautiful home in downtown Huntington Beach
New beautiful engagement ring from my soon to be husband
New beautiful baby boy, James Edward Heyward IV "Jimmy"
and as for Kincey Sue... she's teaching ME something new everyday, I am a very proud momma.
and for the details...
HOME- As of October 2009 we moved from Ed's 2 bedroom 2 bath ocean front condo in Huntington Beach into a beautiful 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom home in downtown Huntington Beach. It wasn't a far move at all... Instead of being a few streets north of the pier we are now a few streets south of the pier. When we moved we didn't know we would be expecting a little man so soon... and with wanting 2 more babies in the near future I'm starting to think we may outgrow our house before we know it! Only down fall... no yard for the babies to play in :( Thank goodness for nearby parks and of course the beautiful beach.
ENGAGEMENT- Nov 13th was mine and Ed's 2 year anniversary a day I "thought" would be just like any other but maybe with a nice dinner. Oh boy was I surprised to find out thats not what it turned out to be. Every Saturday morning Kincey has her tap and ballet class (she has been going for over a year now) so when we got home from dance on that Saturday we walked into a house filled with over 8 bouquets of flowers and rose petals all over the floor. At first I thought it was for our anniversary and looked at Ed and said "Oh how sweet, thanks babe I love you" and before I knew it he had my hand and was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I was shocked and happy and of course I said Yes! Before we knew it Kincey was riding her bike all over the downstairs going through the rose petals and singing "were getting married were getting married, this is fabulous!" and yes, riding bikes through the house is a normal occurrence here. Gotta make due with what we have :)
NEWST ADDITION- James Edward Heyward IV "Jimmy" was born on Jan 14th 2011. 8 pounds 2 ounces and as beautiful as can be. They induced me this pregnancy so it was a whole new experience. I'm glad I didn't have to go through contractions as long as I did with Kincey. Back contractions are killer. A few pushes and he was out, he made it easy on momma and the doctors! Being a completely different person now than I was when I had Kincey made me look at this pregnancy differently. I was still young and sad to say... dumb when I had Kincey. Still a good mom but still dumb and young. I'd like to think that Ed has really changed me so much in the last few years. It's a great feeling to have a whole different outlook on life. Only bump in the road with Jimmy was breast feeding. The first week after having Jimmy I got a really bad case of Mastitis. If you ever had it you know how horrible it is. It was a huge setback on breastfeeding. I wanted to do for Jimmy what I had done for Kincey. So after the Mastitis finally went away I pumped every 2 hours of every day for the next 3 weeks. That took so much out of me and when I attempted to breast feed jimmy again it just didn't work out. I was sad but also had to keep in mind that I tried everything so I couldn't be too hard on myself! Jimmy just turned 3 months old and is such a happy and smart baby. He loves his baths, baby talk, laughing and lovessss to stand up. His eyes get more and more blue everyday! He is one happy baby and that makes me happy!
KINCEY SUE- My 4 year old daughter is going on 18. No lie. I can't keep up with her anymore it seems. She is so smart and such a happy, loving little girl. She goes to pre-school M-F for 8 hours every day. I'd love for her to be home with me but she loves school so much and insists on going. She can speak spanish and impresses us daily with all the new words she can speak. Ed is fluent in spanish so he always talks to her in spanish... I know enough to get by. She loves clothes and fashion and is quiet the fashionista. She can walk better in my high heels than I can! We recently had our parent teach conference and they told us that she is the smartest in her class and loves to learn. While other kids want to play she will want to read or practice her writing. At home she is an amazing help around the house and with Baby J. The girl loves to mop the floor and is great at organizing and folding her clothes! I can often find her singing her little brother songs or letting him taste her candy/chocolate and then hiding it when I come... only thing is that her and Jimmy will have chocolate all over their face... caught red handed! It's never a dull moment in this house and I love it!
